Welcome to Sacred Music Preserved! This site offers streaming audio of great sacred, inspirational
and gospel music mostly from the 1940's, 1950's and 1960's. SMP audio works for dial-up and broadband listeners,
and the audio player you already use will probably work just fine. SMP is streaming only, no MP3 downloads - sorry!
On the Streaming Albums page, you can listen to entire albums by artists like Jack Holcomb, Dick Anthony, Ira Stanphill,
the White Sisters, the Stamps-Baxter Quartet, the Old Fashioned Revival Hour, Phil Kerr, Audrey Mieir and Sunday Sing Trio, just to name a few.
Styles range from southern gospel quartets to solo vocalists backed by orchstra, and everything in between. There's well over 2,000 songs available on demand.
Many of the albums have full liner notes available for you to read.
On the Internet Radio page, you can tune into a high quality, commercial-free audio stream from the Sacred Music Preserved
collection. Donations are of course welcome, but it's 100% free. The broadband SMP Internet radio sounds super, and it goes all day and all night with
few repeats and a lot of variety. The average person listens to SMP Internet radio for more than 8 hours at a time!
